Day 1: HCM - Chau Doc - Ba Chua Xu Temple

Start your journey by meeting at Vietravel (190 Pasteur, Võ Thị Sáu, District 3, HCM City), and head towards Chau Doc via the HCM - Trung Luong Expressway and Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway, enjoying the lush green rice fields and orchards along the way. Experience the Vam Cong Bridge, the second largest cable-stayed bridge connecting the banks of the Hau River, completed to much excitement after years of anticipation.

Upon arrival in Chau Doc, enjoy a boat ride on the Hau River to explore the local beauty of An Giang. Visit Chau Doc’s floating village, a vibrant fish farming area, offering one of the most unique waterways in the Mekong Delta. Discover the more than 120-year-old traditional Cham weaving house, and feel free to rent Cham clothing and take a photo in the unique Cham Islamic wedding room (self-funded).

In the afternoon, continue to visit Ba Chua Xu Temple, Tay An Ancient Pagoda, and the tomb of Thoai Ngoc Hau.

Tra Su Cattle Forest: Known as the "Tropical Swamp Museum," this 1,500-hectare forest is home to a diverse ecosystem of flora and fauna. Tam Bao Pagoda: Built in the early 18th century, the pagoda was officially recognized by the Nguyen Dynasty and is known as Sắc Tứ Tam Bao Pagoda. The pagoda still houses a 1.4-meter-tall bronze statue of Buddha Amitabha, which was originally worshipped by Mạc Cửu.

Next, head to Rach Gia to visit:

Nguyen Trung Truc Temple: This temple is the largest and earliest dedicated to the national hero Nguyen Trung Truc, one of the nine temples in Kien Giang province.

Continue to Can Tho, check-in at the hotel, and relax. After dinner, enjoy some free time to explore the vibrant “Tay Do” city by night. Visit the Can Tho Bridge illuminated in the evening, take a photo at the Love Bridge with its unique S-shape design, two lotus towers, and colorful LED lights, and snap pictures at the Old Ong Pagoda.
